The Doctor stood in the console room staring at the TARDIS’s breathing. It was Valentines Day and he was alone. He’d sent Amy and Rory off on a romantic date, telling them he had a hot date with the empress of Sigma Delta 3. But in reality here he was. Alone.
Because Valentines Day only served one purpose to him, reminding him of what he didn’t have. Rose. He’d seen the roses Rory had given Amy that morning and felt the stab to his heart much stronger than he thought it would be. He thought about his clone, in that other universe with his Rose. He could imagine what he was doing today. Where he would take her, what he would say to her. They weren’t the same man anymore, but they had been and he remembered every thought that had gone through the head of that skinny man with the wild hair. The Doctor ran his hands over the console and started pulling levers. He arrived at his destination and slowly went to the door. He knew what would be outside and just thinking about it brought the prick of tears to his eyes. He pulled open the door to look out on the February day so many years ago.
He stood in the shadows and watched himself and the love of his life laughing and skipping through the snow. He remembered this day like it was yesterday. How he’d surprised Rose by taking her on a date. She’d always grumbled about Valentines Day being a stupid holiday, so of course he had gone all out- chocolate, flowers, cheesy card…. And she’d laughed and kissed him and he could have sworn he’d seen tears glistening in her eyes. What he was watching now was the two of them heading out to dinner at some romantic restaurant… But he knew they would never make it. In moments from now, he would pull her close and kiss her and they’d go back to the tardis to have their own private Valentines date.
The Doctor smiled sadly as the younger version of himself cracked a joke and Rose laughed, that special Rose laugh, which ended in a smile with that adorable hint of tongue sticking out between her teeth. When he saw himself kiss her, he couldn’t watch anymore. His sob caught in his throat, and he turned back to the Tardis.
It was time to pick up Amy and Rory anyway, and he needed to not be crying when he did so.

October 13 - Favourite Doctor Who-related YouTube video

Uh there’s a number of strong candidates for this one ranging from The Ballad of Russell and Julie to the Tenth Doctor musical  or My Life Would Suck Without You but I decided I’d post one other people haven’t seen, one which I love because it always manages to give me many emotions about my very favourite era of the show and pays attention to Rose, Martha, Donna and Ten in near-equal measure. I love everyone in this TARDIS.

I miss you ten!! T___T
